A silicone coating comprising an artificial fingerprint on a fingertip of an artificial finger having an array of tactile sensors is provided. The sensorized item is a fingertip of an artificial finger which is provided with micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS)-based tactile sensor array, and a casting die for realizing an outer layer of the coating is shaped in such a way that the pattern reproduces a fingerprint.
